SKIP N UNION is a branded Wiescamp stallion who was the second highest selling AQHA stallion in the Hank Wiescamp Dispersal Sale in June,1998. He is a son of Skippers Ring. Before Mr. Wiescamp passed away, he had never let a son of Skippers Ring leave his place. Skip N Union's picture was in both Western Horseman and the Paint Horse Journal in their stories about the Dispersal Sale published in August, 1998. There were also 7 yearlings by Skip N Union in the 1998 Wiescamp Dispersal Sale which averaged over $10,000 each, including the high selling yearling, St Union, who sold for $20,000. St Union, out of St Dolly proved to be a good investment, since he has now sired over 26 foals, and has achieved a ROM in Halter. As of the end of 2007 Skip N Union has sired 90 AQHA registered foals and 11 APHA registered foals. Skip N Union has the pedigree, conformation, and disposition that Hank Wiescamp was famous for producing. In fact he looks similar in confirmation to the painting done called "One of Hank's." You can see all of the classic features of the "Skipper W" family of horses including a beautiful head, with short fox ears, large jaw, and wide spaced gentle eyes. He has a beautiful neck, big hip, smooth muscling, and that most desirable dark golden palomino color with white stockings and wide blaze. But perhaps the best thing about him is his gentle, easy-going disposition which he consistently passes on to his offspring. He also has been very consistent in producing lots of chrome on his babies. Skip N Union has a wonderful disposition, and is so easy to handle that he has been used to tease mares. He has been hand bred, pasture bred and collected for artificial insemination without difficulty. His fertility has been exceptional. His semen ships well and has good integrity for AI. No problems getting mares in foal by whatever method used. He has been in great health and has had no serious injuries. He is easy to keep in a stall, but he loves being in the pasture with the mares as well. He accepts mares being introduced into the pasture at any time.
